Chris Garris bio:

Christopher Garris currently is the owner of CG Investment Capital, a mortgage brokerage business designed to analyze the capital structure needs of commercial real estate owners nationwide and provide them thoughtful financial solutions via capital providers.   The company is focusing its business development efforts on the manufactured housing and self storage industries, leveraging off the expertise and relationships Mr. Garris has developed over the past decade.   The company also does some consulting work for the family real estate business.

 

Prior to creating CG Investment Capital, Mr. Garris spent the previous six years originating commercial real estate loans for several national lending institutions.    In 1993, he joined Belgravia Capital Corporation, a niche mortgage banking firm servicing primarily the manufactured housing and self storage industries.   Two years thereafter, he moved to South Florida to open a regional office for the company and to originated loans.    As Regional Director, Mr. Garris successfully marketed the lending programs offered by the company and its joint venture relationships while establishing a local presence for the company.  In 1998, Finova Capital acquired Belgravia Capital where Mr. Garris continued as Director originating commercial real estate loans.   In 2000, Mr. Garris left Finova Capital to join Bloomfield Acceptance Company, a boutique mortgage banking firm widely known throughout the manufactured housing industry.   Upon joining the company he established a newly created Southeastern Regional office to originate commercial real estate loans.   Mr. Garris left Bloomfield Acceptance Company in 2001 to establish his own Mortgage Brokerage Business.

 

While employed by the aforementioned companies, Mr. Garris gained a great deal of knowledge and experience closing commercial loans, especially in the manufactured housing and self storage industries.   Furthermore, he helped establish these companies as national loan production leaders for these property types.    In approximately 12 years of commercial loan originations, Mr. Garris successfully closed over 125 transactions totaling approximately $600 million.  About 80% of these loans were originated on manufactured housing communities and self storage facilities.

 

Born in Los Angeles, Mr. Garris graduated the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a Real Estate & Finance emphasis.    When not working, he can be spotted on his boat, a golf course, a tennis court or one of the great trout streams of the world, fly-fishing.
